PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

RELAX

The most important thing to do is ....relax.  Easier said than done but oh so true!  If relaxing means being organized, head over to Pinterest and start planning your outfits.  Try to stay away from bold prints and patterns.  Think about complementary colors and less about matchy-matchy.

BRIBES

Also, bribes are perfectly acceptable!  Most kids respond well to the excitement of looking forward to their favorite treat.  Harness this enthusiasm and use it to your advantage!  You can remind them, gently, during our session to gently redirect over zealousness or praise good behavior.

LET IT GO

Finally, let it go (sorry if you're singing now!).

Chances are things are not going to go the way you planned.  That's ok!  This can be difficult (I'm talking to you, Mom), but  as your session approaches do not stress over perfection.  Don't worry about the potential chaos!  Take a deep breath and understand that you can only control so much.  I have to remind myself of this too!  Kids always respond better when there is no agenda.
